Have you ever thought about becoming a teacher?
If you have the basics:
- GCSE English
- GCSE Mathematics
- GCSE Science
- UK degree (or equivalent).
You can achieve Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) through:
- BEd – Bachelor of education
- BA or BSc with QTS – Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science with QTS
- PGCE – Postgraduate certificate in education
- Teach First – teaching and leadership training for top graduates
- On-the-job training
- Assessment-only courses.

Your starting salary:
From September 2007 a newly qualified teacher (NQT) will start on £20,133 per year in England and Wales (£24,168 in inner London).
